My friends

My friends at school were very kind. My teacher, Mrs. Saunders and I decided that as I was going to miss a lot of school, it was best to tell the class what was going on so that they wouldn’t worry and keep asking the same questions. I was a bit frightened and worried that they would make fun of me, but it worked out well. I had some special friends, Katie and Cara who helped me with my work if I needed help. Cara’s Mum, Sandra, also came into school especially to help me when I couldn’t write or read very well. Katie seems to understand my feelings and I know that if I get upset at school she can come and be with me.

All the teachers, especially my class teachers, Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Taylor, have been very kind to me and have helped me with my work. Mrs. Ewing, the head teacher, keeps on asking me into her office to give me lollies. My Mum works at the school and if I get upset, I know I can run to her as well.

Some friends of our family heard that I was poorly and wrote to a charity called the Starlight Foundation. They told them all about my illness, and asked if they could grant me a wish. Only one month later my wish came true, and I got a C.D.Rom computer which is helping me to write my story. I was also given some CDs, my favourite was Dangerous Creatures.
