My treatment ended in June, and in July I had another scan to see if the tumour had shrunk. It had! We already thought that it had because most of my symptoms had gone. I was still very tired but I was happy and not so worried. We had a very exciting summer. The day after the scan, Jennie and I were bridesmaids for some friends of ours, it was beautiful weather and we had a great day.
The hospital needed someone to give a bouquet to the Queen to celebrate the end of Bob Champion’s ‘Ride For Life’ Appeal. He was raising money for a new part of the hospital. I was asked to go to Buckingham Palace and give the bouquet. It was a brilliant day. My whole family were taken to London in a stretched limousine. It was funny because people kept looking in expecting it to be someone famous. The Queen was very nice to me, and I even got to sit on Aldaniti, Bob’s famous horse.

We went on holiday soon after that. Nearly all the money for our holiday was raised by friends and even people who didn’t know us. One friend, Sarah Currie, organised a bazaar which raised over £300!
Our holiday was in the south of Spain in a place called Salobreña. I had never been on a plane before, and I loved it, especially when we were on top of the clouds. We stayed in a villa with a big pool of our own and it was great! Jennie and I cried the night before we had to come home because we wanted to stay.

When we came back home I felt better from everything and ready to go back to school.
