I’m back at school having a brilliant time, except for homework. I am in year 5, my teacher is Mrs. Taylor and I have lots of friends in that class, one of them is called Sam O’Donnell. He and I were friends when we were tiny and now we are in the same class again. He is very nice to me.
I have to go to Epsom Hospital every now and then to see Dr. Nicholls. She is very friendly. Every month my physiotherapist, Tracey and Steff, the occupational therapist come to see me and check me out. They make me do exercises to make sure I’m getting stronger. I also have to go to a growth clinic at the Marsden to make sure I’m growing properly. I only have to go back to see Mike and Geoff at the Marsden if the symptoms start to come back.
I don’t like getting at all poorly now because it makes me think of the tumour, even if it is nothing to do with it. It makes me sad and reminds me of how I felt before.
I am practising the piano for my Grade 3 exam, which will be in the spring of 1997, and Jennie and I have riding lessons every week.
